From July 21 to 23, 2017, music festival Splendour in the Grass attracted 47,000 people per day to the site at Parklands, North Byron, which boasted three stages and a camping ground that held 20,000 people.

    The Gympie Coates Hire branch was perfectly positioned to service one of Queensland’s largest infrastructure projects, the Cooroy to Curra Upgrade along the Bruce Highway. The large-scale upgrade commenced in 2009 and now with Sections A and B completed, work on the $26 million 3 kilometre Early Works Section C is under way — and it is right on the doorstep of the Gympie branch, according to Geographical Account Manager Chris Zillmann
